Who would have guessed that the UK PM is such a funny chap? It rained the whole day today and I started reading his novel and it's really funny. There is a tradeoff. Its humour is at the expense of its excitement. Because Boris Johnson looks at everything through a humorous lens (sometimes to an annoying extent because I want to know if something's going to happen and the flippant bits just get in the way), the reader somehow knows the outcome can't be all that disastrous.
Kindle says I've another 33% more to go. Who knows what the end will be but I have a fair idea things can't be all that bad if the novelist is this humorous. Do give it a go!
