Have yourself a merry little Christmas

For most people, the first thing that springs to mind when they think of Christmas is the partying and the drinking. Although I'm quite a jolly guy and partying is fun, my idea of Christmas does not revolve around such fun. I get up very early on Christmas morning and I'm in church before 7 to rehearse the pieces with the church orchestra. I will then be playing at the different Christmas services all morning, listening to the same sermon until lunch time when I'll go home exhausted.

Going to church early on Christmas morning has been what I have always done from the time I was a toddler and served as an altar boy. And it's not just Christmas. It's every Sunday and on all holy days but of course Christmas is the world's most famous holy day.

A couple of weeks ago, I was attacked by a most virulent flu bug and I became very ill. Although I have recovered, I can't get out of the house this morning and I certainly can't go to church. Christmas doesn't feel like Christmas when you don't go to church.

My policy is always to make the best of everything in every situation. We have lovely Christmas delights particularly the pudding but I can't eat much in my current state. I can at least lie down with a book and my laptop and I can at least blog about my current condition and even post a photo in my photo diary.  Merry Christmas, folks!!!

    1. Thanks for the compliment. There was a time when I would feel very uneasy and self-conscious when someone talks about my genitals or my rear end and then I discovered that this is what some non-naturists do just to make the newbie naturist uncomfortable and cover himself up. But I'm now a rather seasoned naturist and I'm immune to all such things. It's no different to me if he talks about my toes. That's not going to make me put on shoes. Cheers, and Merry Christmas!

    3. Thanks! I am glad you follow my blog. My wife tells me not to bother to write because nobody reads it. I tell her it's more like my diary - it's for me to read it years from now. I do sometimes want to remember what happened in the past. Cheers!

  3. Hi Lim and hope you have the merriest of Christmases! Sorry to hear you’re still struggling through the flu. Your Christmas Day tradition sounds wonderful. I don’t recall what instrument you play. Hope you’re back up and feisty by the New Year. Cheers!
