The drawbacks of nudity?

What I am going to say is sure to offend some naturists but I believe in speaking the truth and in any event, this is my personal photo diary and the words here are nothing more than my thoughts and surely, I'm entitled to express my own private thoughts?

Our bodies are designed to be naked and that much is clear. But if you live in a country that has a harsh winter, clothes are of course necessary. You may think that a tropical country, where I live in, is ideal for a naturist. But here in the tropics where everything that has life thrives in great abundance, there are natural drawbacks for the naturist too and it can be fatal if he is not careful. I'm talking about disease-carrying mosquitoes.

I live in a clean tropical country that has managed to wipe out malaria. You only get malaria if you go to a less developed country. But just when the malaria menace was eradicated, new diseases borne by the mosquito proliferate. Dengue fever is now the greatest threat to the naturist who hasn't got the protection of clothes and footwear. Foreign labourers brought into my country to work in the construction industry have brought with them chikungunya which is also spread by mosquitoes.

But these potentially lethal diseases can be prevented if you take all necessary precautions. Once a week, I apply 'mosquito killer' or BTI pellets in all the drains and areas which may collect rain water. These pellets do not harm any other creature apart from mosquito larvae. I know for certain that the butterflies, dragonflies, damselflies, birds and squirrels that have chosen to make my backyard their home aren't adversely affected at all.

Here's a pic I took early this morning. In my hand is a bottle of BTI

It may be a chore having to do this once a week, every week of your life but it's nothing if you make it a part of your lifestyle. You can also get the pest control people to apply BTI in your garden but they spray BTI in liquid form. You have less control and there's no telling if the liquid BTI will find some means of entering your water supply. I prefer applying BTI in pellet form and I'm the one doing it.
