Today is the eve of the Chinese New Year. The whole city has come to a standstill. I couldn't even get breakfast when I went out to look for something to eat this morning. It's the most important celebration in my country and it's a festival that is celebrated by at least one-fifth of the whole of humanity even if you don't include the Koreans who follow the same celebration and the Japanese who used to celebrate the Chinese New Year before the Meiji Restoration.
